Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day – observed every year on April 22 – here are courses and related resources about sustainability, conservation, and climate change to encourage engagement and professional development in relation with the planet we all share.

In a recent address about the USDA’s approach to sustainability, conservation, and climate change External Link, USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack explained, “Climate change threatens our food security, safety, and the environment we all depend on, but USDA is taking action to respond. Working closely alongside our partners and those we serve, we are conserving precious natural resources, supporting climate smart forestry and agriculture, helping agricultural producers make their operations more climate friendly and resilient to climate change, and protecting communities from wildfire.”

Considering Secretary Vilsack’s comments about the important role USDA plays in addressing climate change, take a few moments to learn more about the issue with the resources provided.
